Inspects finished work piece for conformance to specifications.  Qualifications High school diploma/GED and/or 2years experience with the basic GMAW (gas metal arc welding), SMAW (shielded metal arc welding), FCAW(flux cored arc welding), and sub-arc welding. Must have basic Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) knowledge. Must know how to effectively use the following measuring devices and basic tools: tape measure, micrometer, calipers, square, level, angle finder, weld gages, clamps, and half clamp configurations. Material handling equipment experience: Must have ability to operate forklift safely. Must have the ability and knowledge to rig properly and safely run an overhead style crane. Machine list should include but not be limited to Miller and/or Lincoln power sources. This position requires the knowledge of amperage, wire speed, and consumable replacement from liners, gas tips, and wire spool replacement on all the specified types of welding, including sub-arc, while still maintaining cost effectiveness.
